Friday Links- June 6

We were happy to see the the gorgeous work of Bergwerk get some love on Treehugger recently. We loved working with Gertrude helping her to launch her eco-friendly, hand-made, sexy clothing line that is perfect for summer. Ladies, you might just want to check in and snag a piece since they are each one-of-a-kind. Gents, definitely pass this link on!

Did you miss DELVE Networking: Collaboratives + Art on May 22 at Tiger Strikes Astroid? That's ok. You can watch videos and read about the event on our blog. While you are there, check out other amazing posts from Daniela Kostova and Alli Miller about their artist collectives.

Are you on Tumblr? Follow ours! It's made of  images that inspire us in our daily lives.

What art shows will you see in June? Let us know. And check out which ones we are excited about.

We are honored to have helped with events for Rebuild by Design this year. The winners were announced! What an important competition that will bring change and safety to our coasts. "About 95 percent of New York City’s money goes toward realizing a section of BIG’s “Big U” proposal to wrap Lower Manhattan in a berm and green space. The new “bridging berm” along the Lower East Side will provide waterfront space for the neighborhood and protect 29,000 public housing units from the next storm. The city will also receive $20 million for continued study and planning as part of PennDesign/OLIN’s proposal for Hunts Point in the South Bronx, which is a regional hub for food distribution."

Notes from Sara's world:

I just listened to the last two episodes of the After the Jump podcast back-to-back. Some seriously inspiring branding and design work coming from local lady-owned small firms! I am especially into the new Russ and Daughters redesign by Kelli Anderson.

I'm looking forward to getting out of the city this weekend for some hiking and camping.

Until I get my own dog, I've been getting my daily dog fill on The Dogist's tumblr. If you like dogs, I highly recommend it!

Notes from Andrea's world:

For those that know me and my art work, I am obviously following happenings in Ukraine very closely. The Vice Russian Roulette series is a very good way to catch up and get some questions answered.

Beach reading abounds. I can wholeheartedly recommend The Interestings and The Flamethrowers.

Do you need some amazing daily dancing entertainment? Adam Carpenter brings great joy to my Instagram feed with his daily dances.
